Walker Elementary is located in Settlers Village at the intersection of Fry Road and FM 529. This school was named for Sandra Bales Walker who served as a secretary for the district for twenty-five years. She was a principal’s secretary at Jersey Village High School for eight years. As a superintendent’s secretary for 17 years, she worked with three superintendents before she retired in May 1997. She and her husband, Jesse, have three sons, Kevin, a Cypress-Fairbanks staff member, Darrell, and Eugene. Their three sons are Cypress-Fairbanks ISD graduates.
