Middle schools clinch 2022 district track and field championships

May 24, 2022—The Goodson Middle School seventh and eighth grade boys, Smith Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls, and Spillane Middle School eighth grade girls all clinched their respective track and field district championships at the District Meet, held April 26-28 at Cypress Lakes and Cypress Woods high schools.

Kahla MS students, staff conduct ‘Bears for the Blue’ service drive

Jan. 14, 2022—Kahla Middle School students and staff members came together for an act of kindness while showing their appreciation for law enforcement this month with “Bears for the Blue,” a campuswide collection drive of new and gently used stuffed animals to donate to the CFISD police department and other local departments.

Anthony, Salyards, Smith win district cross country team titles

Oct. 25, 2021—Three different middle schools won team championships at the CFISD Middle School Cross Country Meet, held. Oct. 20 at Cypress Woods High School.

CFISD Student of the Week: Aramae Badillo

Sep. 20, 2021—Kahla Middle School eighth grade student Aramae Badillo is credited with excelling inside and outside of the classroom, as she has been a member of the distinguished honor roll for two years and on volleyball’s A team as the libero during the same time frame.

Eleven MS art students earn platinum medals at Junior VASE contest

May 5, 2021—Eleven CFISD art students won a platinum medal at the Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), which was held electronically due to COVID-19.
