Announcing the 2024 Student EdTech Expo Design Winner

The Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Instructional Technology department recognized Cypress Springs Senior, Gabriela Fernandez-Gonzalez, on May 16th for her winning logo design for the 2024 Student EdTech Expo. Fernandez-Gonzalez, under teacher Mary Finigan, created a design that best reflected the theme of the 2024 event, Empowered Innovation.
Gabriela’s logo will be used in pre-event publicity and promotional material. Additionally, it will be prominently displayed throughout the 2024 Student EdTech Expo as the main banner and on electronic displays.
The Student EdTech Expo showcases technology integration by CFISD students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade, emphasizing how they use district provided resources in their everyday learning environment. This year’s event brought over 2,300 community members to the Berry Center to support nearly 800 student demonstrations. Next year’s expo will be held on April 11, 2024 at the Berry Center.
The 2024 Student EdTech Expo Logo Design Contest
The contest is offered by the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Instructional Technology department (also known as the EdTech department). It is open to CFISD students, grades 6-12. The student does not need to be enrolled in an art class.
The Student EdTech Expo Logo Design Contest is held in conjunction with the Student EdTech Expo event. The winning logo design for the Student EdTech Expo Logo Contest will be used in all Student EdTech Expo 2024 online and print media advertising the event. The student designers will be recognized for their work.
