Air Force JROTC (AFJROTC)
The Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) is a voluntary leadership program for high school students focused on citizenship, character development, and aerospace education. This four-year program includes Leadership Education, Aerospace Science, Wellness, and Drill & Ceremonies. Students may also participate in drill teams with up to 8 hours of weekly after-school practice.

AFJROTC supports the Public Services endorsement and fulfills the advanced course requirement through JROTC 4.
Career & Tech Ed (CTE)
Are you career ready? Career ready graduates have the essential skills to find, acquire, maintain, and grow within a career. They can also enroll in additional postsecondary training without the need for remediation. Explore the career-based programs of study and certification opportunities available to CFISD students, all at a fraction of the cost of receiving training and certifications through an outside vendor! *
Coding & Robotics (MS only)
This introductory course teaches students foundational programming and robotics skills using block-coding to solve problems and control robots. Emphasizing critical thinking and design, students also explore career paths in programming, robotics, and automation. Successful completion prepares students for advanced high school STEM pathways in Programming, Robotics, or Engineering. (½ Credit)
Journalism
Explore Middle and High School Journalism courses, including Yearbook, Journalism I, Advanced Journalism (Newspaper and Yearbook), and Photojournalism. Each guide details course objectives, pacing, and skills development for the 2023-24 school year.
LOTE - Languages Other Than English
CFISD offers curriculum for Chinese, French, German, Latin, and Spanish courses, ranging from beginner to advanced levels, including Spanish for Spanish Speakers. Explore pacing and instructional guides for all levels to support language learning.
Physical Education (P.E.) / Off-Campus P.E. / Health
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) allows districts to offer PE credit to students who demonstrate a high level of training in their sport. Districts develop a program based on criteria provided by TEA. CFISD has designed our program to accommodate students who are elite athletes participating and/or competing at an Olympic-level. These students are making a serious effort to develop higher-level skills in their specific activity that exceed what the campus can offer. Not every sport qualifies for OCPE. Individual sports or activities and team sports not offered in the district may qualify.
