Nov. 21, 2025 — Jersey Village High School senior Kaila Jackson designed an ornament that was selected to represent Congressional District 138 on the 2025 Capitol Christmas tree display.

Sept. 9, 2025—The Anthony, Smith and Sprague middle school orchestras were named finalists for the 2025 Houston Cup. The award recognizes excellent orchestra teaching and directing at the middle school level across the greater Houston area.

July 24, 2025—CFISD was recently named an Exemplary District of Distinction by the Texas Educational Theatre Association (TxETA). This is the highest designation awarded to individual schools and districts that are making outstanding contributions to raising the standards for theatre education through achievement, curation of resources, diversity and advocacy for theatre arts.
