Recommended Instructional Materials

Recommended Instructional Materials

Instructional materials are recommended for the following elective courses to be offered in the 2025-2026 school year:

  • Literature and the Bible
  • Western Civilization and the Bible

The textbook, The Bible and its Influence, 2nd edition (Cullen Schippe and Chuck Stetson) will be recommended as the resource for two new high school elective courses: Literature and the Bible (1.0 credit) and Western Civilization and the Bible (.5 credit).  Both state credit courses are included in the Texas Education Code 28.011.

Parents may review the recommended instructional materials on:

  • Monday, August 5 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 6 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
