PARTICIPANTS: CFISD students in grades 3 – 5 active in the HORIZONS at the time of registration.
LANYARDS: “2025 Da Vinci Day” lanyards will be provided to the students on the day of the event. No lanyards will be distributed in advance of the event.
SNACKS: Students will be provided a mid-morning refreshment.
STUDENT DRESS: Suggested clothing for the trip is regular school attire.
ACTIVITY KIT: All students will receive an activity kit to take home on the day of the event.
ACTIVITIES: Students will be scheduled to participate in the project-based activity:
Robotic Pet Vet - Discover how engineering, technology, and pet care come together! Think like a veterinarian and an engineer as you explore the inside of a robotic dog and compare the anatomy of a real dog with your very own Robo-Pet.
TRANSPORTATION: A school bus will be used for transportation for the field trip and students will depart and return by bus from the student’s home campus. Students are expected to ride the bus to and from the event and remain for the entirety of the event. There is no parent drop-off at the event.
