CFISD Student of the Week: Vir Lagad
March 24, 2025—Sprague Middle School sixth grade student Vir Lagad is applauded by his teachers for being an excellent student.

Accomplishments: Lagad placed 17th overall at the 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee and has also been a district representative at the CFISD Name That Book contest.
Favorite class: “Science and math because it’s challenging, and it fascinates me.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I like to go outside with my friends.”
Favorite song: “Otherside by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.”
Favorite website/app: “Fortnite.”
Favorite movie: “The Italian Job, because it’s clever.”
Ambition: “I want to become an aerospace engineer because I love science.”

What inspires you?: “My parents, because they are both engineers and I like building stuff and doing stuff with my hands.”
