Pope ES, Team Tooke Martial Arts Academy establish Adopt-a-School partnership

April 30, 2025—Representatives from Team Tooke Martial Arts Academy visited the staff at Pope Elementary School on April 21 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
Anthony Martinez, co-owner of Team Tooke Martial Arts Academy, shared that partnering with Pope fits with Team Tooke’s mission to connect with kids.
“We’re really excited to partner with Pope Elementary School and support the amazing things happening on campus,” Martinez said. “At Team Tooke, we believe in helping kids build confidence, discipline and a strong sense of self. These are values that I started developing when I began training Jiu-Jitsu at Team Tooke when I was 5 years old. This partnership means a lot to us, and we look forward to making a positive impact together.”

Katie Herrera, Pope principal, expressed her gratitude to Team Tooke Martial Arts Academy for committing to support the campus.
“Pope is excited to partner with Team Tooke to support our students and staff,” Herrera said. “We are honored they are adopting us and thrilled to welcome Team Tooke to Pope.”
