Jan. 27, 2025—Cypress-Fairbanks ISD will launch a tuition-based pre-K program in the 2025-2026 school year. This TEA-approved program allows school districts to extend services to children who do not meet the state’s required eligibility for pre-K.
Studies reveal that full-day pre-K programs ensure foundational early development of children that can lead to improved educational outcomes, as well as high school graduation rates and even college attendance.
Students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2025 to be eligible. The program will be offered at all CFISD elementary campuses, depending on space availability. If a student’s home campus is full, CFISD will offer space at an alternate campus based on availability.
Parents of paid pre-K students will be required to complete a parental agreement outlining important details, including attendance expectations, hours of operation, late pickup policies, payment requirements, and other specific guidelines for the program.
Monthly tuition rates for the program will be $650 for both residents and non-residents in the community, and $600 for CFISD employees. A $50 registration fee will be required for all participants.
Registration information will be available later in the spring of 2025. Visit www.cfisdprek.net for more details and frequently asked questions.
