Aug. 22, 2024—CFISD was among eight independent school districts (ISDs) who were awarded more than $380,000 in school supplies, collectively, by the Kroger Backpack Boosters.
Kroger Backpack Boosters donated a total of 2,436 backpacks and 3,835 supply kits to CFISD students.
The Kroger Backpack Boosters host a school supply drive each year giving customers an opportunity to donate either a school supply kit or small monetary donation at checkout to benefit underserved students in area school districts. The purchased school supply kits are then distributed to schools in pre-selected local school districts.
Kroger donated a total of 2,436 backpacks and 3,835 supply kits to CFISD.
