Jan. 24, 2025—The Cy-Fair High School Best Buddies program received a $10,000 donation from the Pink Bows Foundation on Jan. 14 in honor of former Cy-Fair student Madison Dubiski.
The Pink Bows Foundation was created by Dubiski’s parents, Brian and Michelle Dubiski, to honor her memory after she passed away at a concert in 2021.
“We chose to honor things that were important to Madison, things that she participated in and loved,” said Brian Dubiski. “The Best Buddies program was very endearing to her.”

The Best Buddies program allows general education students to team up with LIFE Skills students to participate in activities on and off campus. The group has meet-up events such as bowling off campus as well as many on-campus events.
“This donation is really important to us,” said Riley Wurdeman, Best Buddies vice president. “It’s going to bring more funding toward fellowship experiences such as bringing all the buddies to the rodeo and allowing them to get involved in different events that are coming up.”
Dubiski was passionate about the Best Buddies program and her family feels that the mission of Best Buddies will be linked to her memory forever.
“We knew that after her passing that we wanted to give back,” said Michelle Dubiski. “After starting the foundation, we knew that this organization would be something we wanted to give back to.”
