Jan. 8, 2025—Representatives from Star Cinema Grill visited the staff at Goodson Middle School on Jan. 6 to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.  

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Marc Branham, general manager of Star Cinema Grill, shared that officially adopting Goodson was an easy decision.

“This is a very natural partnership for us,” Branham said. “We’ve already partnered with Goodson in the past, so when I heard about the Adopt-a-School program, I thought this is exactly what we’re looking for as a business. We want to help support the teachers and I’m hoping that we can make this partnership beneficial for both of us at Star Cinema Grill and the Goodson community.”

Lynn Blakeslee, Goodson principal, expressed her excitement to Star Cinema Grill for committing to support the campus.

“We are excited to partner with Star Cinema Grill and look forward to collaborating on future projects,” Blakeslee said. “Being selected for adoption means so much to our school and we are thrilled to welcome Star Cinema Grill to the Grizzly family.”
