Truitt MS, Crafted Kitchens establish Adopt-A-School partnership

Sept. 27, 2024—Representatives for Crafted Kitchens visited Truitt Middle School on Sept. 25 to officially announce their Adopt-A-School partnership with the campus.

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

Frank Lujan, Crafted Kitchens owner, expressed how much it means to support the Truitt community.

“It’s kind of like a calling,” Lujan said. “We’re happy to be able to be a part of the community and give back just like the community has given to us throughout the last 15 years. We look forward to helping and being a part of the Truitt family.”

Dr. Plas Williams, Truitt principal, expressed his appreciation to Crafted Kitchens for their commitment to support the campus.

“We are excited that Crafted Kitchens has adopted our school,” Dr. Williams said. “This partnership is significant as Crafted Kitchens is owned by one of our parents, making it a perfect blend of community engagement and family involvement. Truitt Middle School constantly strives to build strong relationships with our parents and community business partners. This adoption symbolizes the strength of those connections and offers exciting opportunities for collaboration that will benefit our students and school programs. We look forward to this partnership's positive impact on our school. Together with Crafted Kitchens, we hope to continue fostering a supportive, engaged community that enriches the lives of our students and exemplifies our slogan, Remember The PACK!”
