Aug. 26, 2024—Representatives for Youngs Counseling visited staff members at Farney Elementary School, Cypress Creek High School and Goodson Middle School to officially announce their Adopt-a-School partnership with the campuses.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
“We are honored and thrilled to be able to adopt three schools in CFISD,” said Melissa Hoot, Licensed Professional Counselor at Youngs Counseling. “As some of our staff are former graduates and educators from CFISD, we understand the struggles of both students and staff and we hope to be a source of encouragement for them. We look forward to providing resources and loving on the Farney, Goodson and Cypress Creek communities.
Youngs Counseling visited Farney on Aug. 12 to announce their newly established partnership with faculty and staff. Tracy Jacobsen, Farney principal, anticipates the impact that the partnership will have on the Farney staff and students.
“The Farney staff could not be more excited to have been adopted by Youngs Counseling as our business partner,” Jacobsen said. “The Farney culture is one that exudes support for our staff, students and community and Youngs Counseling works to support our Farney family with the same enthusiasm. They are a perfect fit for our campus.”

Youngs Counseling visited Cypress Creek on Aug. 15 to announce their newly established partnership to faculty and staff. Frank Fraley, Cypress Creek associate principal, shared excitement for Youngs Counseling to add to the recipe of success at Cypress Creek.
“We are extremely excited and grateful to partner with Youngs Counseling,” Fraley said. “Our theme for this year is ‘Being the Seasoning for the Recipe for Success.’ Youngs Counseling’s partnership will be a welcomed ingredient to that recipe. The services that they will be able to provide for our campus and community will only enhance our Cougar family. Ahh CC What!”

Youngs Counseling Visited Goodson on Aug. 16 to announce their newly established partnership with faculty and staff. Richard Dixon, Goodson principal, shared appreciation for Youngs Counseling for committing to help support the campus.
“I am incredibly thankful to Dawn-Petrice Youngs and her exceptional team at Youngs Counseling for their heartfelt decision to adopt Goodson,” Dixon said. “This partnership symbolizes a commitment to the well-being and success of our students. The dedication and care shown by Youngs Counseling will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on our school community and we are honored to have them as part of the Goodson family.”
