Sept. 23, 2025—Representatives from The Trillo Agency visited Cypress Woods High School on Sept. 19 to announce their new partnership with the campus. The partnership is a special one as Manny Trillo, owner of The Trillo Agency, was part of the school’s first graduating class in 2009.
CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize community resources to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.
During the adoption announcement, Trillo congratulated the campus on its 20-year anniversary.
“It’s an honor to come back now as an entrepreneur and we’re excited to give back,” Trillo said. “We want to empower our future generations.”
Lloyd Turner, Cypress Woods principal, addressed the positive impacts that he hopes will come from the partnership.
“Sometimes we aren’t able to do everything because things cost so much to do, so with that support and resources, we’re able to do just a little bit more,” Turner said. “This partnership will hopefully enhance our campus and allow us to do things that maybe we couldn’t do before.”
The benefits from the adoption don’t just stop at monetary ones; mentorship opportunities may be available.
“The other part of the adoption is some business partners have a desire to help in other ways like mentoring,” Turner said. “That might be another opportunity. We have these business partners that are willing to invest in our students by giving time to mentor, sharing their pathway to their fields, having those connections to be able to speak to how they got to where they are and just point to our students in that way is great.”
