Logo and Branding Permission

CFISD requires vendors selling products using the CFISD name, any of its school names, or official logos to enter into a CFISD Logo/License Agreement. This agreement benefits wholesalers and vendors by officially designating them as licensed dealers for merchandise bearing CFISD logos and marks. The program ensures proper usage of these marks while providing financial benefits to CFISD through royalty fees.

The CFISD Logo/License Agreement allows for the sale of apparel and other items featuring CFISD or any CFISD school name, logo, or mark on an annual basis (July 1 - June 30). To request permission, vendors must complete the CFISD Logo/License Agreement Request Form.

CFISD academic organizations, student clubs, athletic teams, and fine arts programs are authorized to use logos and marks for school-related purposes. These logos must not be altered without written permission from CFISD. These groups are not required to enter into a CFISD Logo/License Agreement for their usage.

Official CFISD Booster Clubs, PTOs, parent organizations, school-sponsored organizations, and the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) are permitted to use CFISD logos and marks without obtaining a CFISD Logo/License Agreement.

These groups may purchase items for retail sales from vendors without requiring the vendor to have a CFISD Logo/License Agreement, provided the vendor is an approved supplier for Spirit Wear and Promotional items. If the group wishes to use a vendor not listed as an approved spirit wear or promotional items supplier, the vendor must obtain a CFISD Logo/License Agreement or apply through the current RFP process for Spirit Wear and Promotional Items and receive approval from the Procurement Department.

CFISD employees are authorized to use logos and marks for classroom and school-related communications and purposes only.

CFISD students are authorized to use logos and marks for school-related initiatives, materials, and communications. Students are not permitted to use CFISD logos for personal or retail sales.

Vendors approved through the CFISD Fundraising Services RFP or the Spirit Wear & Promotional Items RFP are granted permission to use CFISD logos and marks when working directly with the district or its campuses. This permission is limited strictly to official district or school-related use. No use of the logos or marks is permitted outside of these official purposes. Vendors are subject to the same CFISD Logo/License Agreement guidelines as other licensed vendors. If a vendor wishes to use CFISD logos or marks outside of these approvals, they must apply for their own CFISD Logo/License Agreement.

Media outlets seeking to use CFISD logos or marks in any capacity, whether for news coverage, promotional materials, or any other media representation, must first obtain formal approval from the District. CFISD requires all media entities to submit a Media Request for Use of Logo and Mark form to provide details about the intended use of the CFISD logo or mark to ensure that the usage aligns with district policies and maintains the integrity of the CFISD brand. Any unauthorized use of CFISD logos or marks is prohibited. If logos or marks are used improperly or suggest an endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation where none exists, a demand to cease usage will be issued immediately. CFISD reserves the right to pursue any necessary legal action to protect its intellectual property and the goodwill associated with its logos and marks.

Selling, displaying, or creating items with CFISD logos or marks without written permission infringes on CFISD's rights and shall not be permitted.
