What is Bus Buddies?
Bus Buddies
Bus Buddies is a volunteer program that pairs community members with CFISD to support elementary students during their first days of school. Each elementary bus is assigned one “Bus Buddy” volunteer for the first two days, helping ensure our youngest riders get off at the correct locations safely and confidently. Volunteers may serve one or both days, with an approximate time commitment of just two hours—and all CFISD buses are air-conditioned!
Bus Buddies for 2025-26 school year was a success! We extend our heartfelt thanks to the churches, businesses, community organizations, and volunteer groups who generously gave their time to serve as Bus Buddies. Your presence each afternoon helped ensure that students got home safely, providing reassurance, care, and a comforting presence at the end of their school day. We are truly grateful for your support and dedication to our children and community.
