School Adoption INTRO

This program offers a unique and interactive opportunity for businesses and organizations to partner with our schools to provide support, and volunteer opportunities to help improve communication and learn more about public education in CFISD. If your business or organization wants to become a school partner, please contact our office at 281-894-3950. 

Values

The business or organization must not impose their own values or religious beliefs on the students or staff. Volunteers and mentors must submit an application and consent to a criminal history record check.

A unique opportunity for schools to work together with community organizations and business partners to utilize the resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

A commitment of time, energy and expertise of a community organization or business partner to an individual school–both parties set realistic goals that are agreeable to all involved.

A. Robison Elementary School staff celebrates being adopted by All-Star Martial Arts on April 17 as part of CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program.

April 17, 2026—Kris Lieder’s family’s past is at Lamkin Elementary School where his great-grandma worked in the cafeteria and his great-grandfather served as a bus driver and maintenance man. His family’s future is at A. Robison Elementary School where his son is currently zoned to attend one day.

Now Lieder, the owner of All-Star Martial Arts, has even stronger ties to both. All-Star Martial Arts officially adopted Lamkin on April 7 and A. Robison on April 17 as part of CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program.

April 15, 2026—Copeland Elementary School Principal Stefanie Berger and Boae Shin, master of Martial Arts USA, first crossed paths 18 years ago when Shin began training Berger’s son in martial arts.

On April 13, they were reunited at a signing ceremony as Martial Arts USA officially adopted Copeland as part of CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program.
