Mentor/imPACT Training Sessions

The Parent and Community Tutors program (imPACT) invites parents and community members to help students strengthen their skills in reading and math.

As a tutor, you will:

Receive training and resources to support student learning
Build relationships with students and foster a love of learning
Strengthen your connection with the community
Experience the reward of helping students reach their full potential
Attend a required training session (offered on scheduled dates during the year)

No prior experience is required—just a passion for helping others and a commitment to making an imPACT.

Complete the Application
- Submit a Global Volunteer / Mentor application, including consenting to a criminal history record check.
- After your application is approved, you will receive account information and a password from donotreply@raptortech.com (this may take up to 10 business days).

Attend a Training Session
- After completing your application, attend a Mentor education session.
- Sessions are held at the Mark Henry Administration Building, 11440 Matzke Road, Cypress, TX, 77429.
- Session dates are posted on our web page.
Get Matched
- Partner with your campus Community Engagement Mentor Liaison to be matched with a mentee.
Log Your Hours
- Record your mentor hours in the Raptor Volunteer Portal.
- Volunteers who log at least one hour during the current school year will receive an invitation to the annual VIPS Appreciation Luncheon.
Check in at Campus
- Present your driver’s license at the school’s front desk each time you volunteer.
- Ask the receptionist to sign you in as a Mentor (not a visitor).
