Important Dates & Deadlines

The internship typically begins the later part of July and ends by mid-June.  The exact dates are determined by the school calendar and adopted by the school board by June each school year.  The number of contract days is 197 and interns are expected to accumulate at least 2000 hours during that span.  The internship is considered a 10-month/2000-hour internship. It is recommended that intern applicants explore their university and licensing requirements of all states in which they may wish to practice upon the completion of their internship.

The application deadline is NOVEMBER 6, 2026 at 11:59 P.M. EST. We will contact you by December 15th regarding your application status and interview scheduling in order for you to obtain lower travel fares with advance notice.

A completed application to our program will consist of:

  • APPIC "universal" application including Program Verification of Eligibility for Internship including curriculum vitae, all official Graduate school transcripts and three letters of recommendation
  • One sample psychological evaluation

All applications are processed through the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) Internship Matching Program.  The Match is sponsored and supervised by the Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC). The Match is administered on behalf of APPIC by National Matching Services Inc. This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.

If interviews occur in-person, please plan on spending at least four hours with us. If you are interviewing in the morning, you will begin your day with us at 8am. Interviews, a tour of a campus within our district and time with current interns and staff will also occur. If you are interviewing in the afternoon, then your arrival time will be around 11am. Your afternoon will be spent in the interview, campus tour, and visits with interns and staff.

For virtual interviews, four hours should be reserved for interviews, time for current intern, staff Q&A's and a virtual tour.

For both virtual and in-person interviews we will ask to take a photo of you as a memory keeping tool after we have concluded all interviews. You may, however, elect not to have your photo taken if you choose. This choice will have no impact on your interview or ranking status.
