Congrats to Anthony Middle School Choir Student
Congrats to Madison Akers for earning a spot in the Texas Choral Directors Association Elementary Honor Choir. Thousands of students from across the state audition and only 150 from the entire state are selected. Mrs. Parrish is so proud of your dedication and hard work!

Anthony and Spillane Orchestras Named Houston Cup Finalists
Sept. 2, 2022 - The Anthony and Spillane Middle School orchestras were named finalists for the 2022 Houston Cup, which recognizes excellent orchestra teaching and directing at the middle school level in greater Houston.

Chris Winkler of Fajita Pete's presented Leslie Dressler with a gift card. Leslie was chosen as the Anthony Middle School Teacher of the Year.

CFISD art students win awards at State VASE, Junior VASE and TEAM contests
June 2, 2023—A total of 49 CFISD art students earned either a state medal, a platinum medal or Top of TEAM award at the State Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (Junior VASE) and the Texas Elementary Art Meet (TEAM) Contest, respectively.

Annual Superintendent’s Fun Run raises record $210,000
April 10, 2023—Approximately 8,000 CFISD staff, students, community members and business partners gathered at the Berry Center and Cy-Fair FCU Stadium for the 10th annual Superintendent’s Fun Run on April 1. The fundraiser concluded with CFISD and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital representatives presenting a check worth a record $210,000 to the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF).

Board approves namesake for Middle School #20, Sprague MS
March 6, 2023—The CFISD Board of Trustees approved the namesake for Middle School No. 20, Roy J. Sprague Jr. Middle School, during its regularly scheduled meeting on March 6.

Cook 8th grade student wins Middle School Spelling Bee crown
Feb. 27, 2023—Cook Middle School eighth grade student Lorena Badillo won first place by correctly spelling the word phalanges in the 10th round of the annual districtwide Middle School Spelling Bee, held Feb. 23 at the Berry Center. Badillo also participated in the competition in 2022 while in the seventh grade.
