2019 District 14-6A volleyball players earn all-district recognition

Nov. 14, 2019—District 14-6A volleyball coaches selected the All-District 14-6A volleyball Team following the conclusion of each team’s 2019 season.
Bridgeland High School senior Katie Kessler was named Attacker of the Year, while fellow Bear senior Makensie Garner was named Defensive Specialist of the Year. Cypress Woods High School sophomore Jackie Velzis was named Newcomer of the Year.
Cypress Park High School Head Coach Pam McRae and Bridgeland Head Coach Verena Khalil were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
Bridgeland High School senior libero Makensie Garner was named the District 14-6A Defensive Specialist of the Year.
Bryan High School’s Coco Gillett was named District MVP and Megan Vaughn was named Setter of the Year.
Cypress Woods High School sophomore outside hitter Jackie Velzis (middle) was named the District 14-6A Newcomer of the Year.
