Annual ‘Battle at the Berry’ marching band competition set for Oct. 13

The Cypress Springs High School marching band will be among the 16 bands performing at the fourth annual “Battle at the Berry” marching contest Oct. 13 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium.

The Cypress Ridge High School marching band will serve as the host, while the Sam Houston State University Bearkat Marching Band will perform an exhibition to conclude the daylong event.

Oct. 1, 2018—The fourth annual “Battle at the Berry” marching band contest will be held Saturday, Oct. 13 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

The contest’s 2018 edition will be hosted by the Cypress Ridge High School marching band. Eight bands from across the greater Houston will join seven CFISD marching bands for the competition.

In addition, the Sam Houston State University Bearkat Marching Band will perform an exhibition to conclude the daylong event.

Cypress Ranch High School will perform at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the fourth annual “Battle at the Berry” marching band contest. Sixteen total marching bands will perform, including the Sam Houston State University Bearkat Marching Band to conclude the daylong event.

Tickets can be purchased at the stadium gates for $10 apiece and children age 5 and under will be admitted free of charge.
