Feb. 8, 2019—Nearly 80 CFISD athletes signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics for colleges and universities on National Signing Day, Feb. 6.
“What a tremendous day to see close to 80 student-athletes get a chance to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level,” said Ray Zepeda, CFISD director of athletics. “Our entire department is proud of their accomplishment on and off our fields and courts. To be considered for an athletic scholarship, athletes must meet stringent academic requirements as well as be great athletes. We celebrate with our athletes and their families and wish them the best of luck as they continue to represent our district and their families at the collegiate level.”
