May 21, 2019— Ault Elementary School took home first place in the annual Strike it Out bowling event, held May 18 at Copperfield Bowl.

The All Stars won with a championship round score of 69-60 over runner-up M. Robinson Elementary School. Eight CFISD elementary schools participated in the annual event. “This was the first year we competed in this tournament,” Ault PE teacher, Kori Neven, said. “I was so impressed with their attitude and teamwork throughout the competition. They never gave up and always encouraged each other. I am so proud of each and every member of the team, and this competition will be a memory I remember forever.” Ault’s winning team was comprised of students Taylor Stockton, Kieran Conley, Stevie Scheiffele, Hailey Pham and Peyton McNair. Copperfield Bowl provides an in-school bowling unit for interested CFISD physical education teachers. At the end of each year, interested campuses can bring teams of fifth-grade students to compete at the annual Strike it Out event. Prizes and trophies were also awarded.
