“Receiving this award is an amazing honor,” Jackson said. “I love teaching math and seeing the students grow and succeed is often its own reward. But having others recognize my hard work is icing on the cake! I’m proud of this honor, and I’m even more proud of the students I teach that helped me earn it!”
Jackson is one of six teachers who will be recognized in the program during the 2017 baseball season. Following her nomination, Jackson underwent a two-round review process including a letter of recommendation by her principal, Stacie Everson. Winning teachers are selected by an external selection committee made up of representatives from academia, government and the nonprofit sector.
More information on the program is available on the ConocoPhillips website.
