Jan. 14, 2021—CFISD principals selected Keith Elementary Principal Dawn Tryon and Cypress Springs Principal Dr. Cheryl Henry as district representatives for the 2020-2021 Region 4 Principal of the Year award.

Tryon has more than 20 years of experience in the classroom and administrative education. She has served as the principal of Keith Elementary since 2017.

“After 25 years of service in the district, I still feel the same desire to serve others as I did my very first year of teaching in the classroom,” Tryon said. “My principal colleagues and I focus on how we can make someone’s life easier, lift someone up, or motivate someone to be their very best. Leading during a pandemic only intensifies my purpose and unifies all educators.  I am honored to be in the company of great leaders, who have been recognized for their excellence, and I’m so proud to represent the elite group of CFISD principals.”
