July 1, 2020—Michelle Lee, assistant principal at Hairgrove Elementary School, was named the new principal at Hairgrove on June 30. Lee replaces Darynda Klein, who accepted a principal position in Brazosport ISD.
Lee’s 20-year education career began in Fort Bend ISD where she spent 12 years as a third grade teacher, team leader and reading specialist at Mission Glen Elementary School. She moved into administration in 2012, serving six years as an assistant principal in Spring ISD at Cooper Elementary School.
She moved to Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in 2018, assuming her current role at Hairgrove.
Lee earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston and Master of Education from the University of St. Thomas.
“I am beyond grateful to continue my leadership journey at Hairgrove Elementary as the campus principal,” Lee said. “I look forward to strengthening our already established relationships and campus initiatives and building on the culture that makes Hairgrove the wonderful school that it is. We will continue to strive for excellence and success for all students. I am honored to not only serve Hairgrove and its community but also the district as a whole. Our future is bright -- go Dolphins!”
