May 24, 2017—Tomicka Williams, an assistant principal at Lee Elementary School, was named the new principal at Post Elementary School on May 24. Williams replaces Missy Kilday, who will retire in June.
Williams has served 22 years in education, including seven years with CFISD. Her teaching career ranged 15 years and brought her from Lufkin ISD to Stafford MSD and Katy ISD, before she was promoted to an elementary instructional specialist position in Katy ISD for two years.
She arrived in CFISD in 2010 in her current role as Lee assistant principal. Williams has also served as summer school principal for Camp Summit at Walker Elementary School in 2016.
Williams received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Master of Educational Administration from Prairie View A&M University.
“Words cannot express how excited and honored I am to be selected to be the principal at Post Elementary School,” Williams said. “I am looking forward to being part of this community and partnering with the staff, students and parents to ensure that Post's great traditions and excellence will continue for years to come. I am thrilled to be a Post Patriot!”
