CFISD Student of the Week: Aaron Page

Nov. 10, 2014—Cypress Springs High School junior Aaron Page is a member of the CFISD Chamber Choir and a talented guitarist and pianist. The versatile student leads the tenor section for the school’s varsity choir and participates in the Peer Assistance & Leadership (PALs) program. On Nov. 18, he will suit up for the Panther boys’ basketball team as they kick off the regular season with a 7 p.m. game at Katy Seven Lakes High School.

Age: 16

Grade: 11

Accomplishments: Won the school talent show in ninth grade; chosen to be the tenor section leader for the varsity choir; accepted in the PALs program; and made the varsity basketball team.

Favorite class: English. “It helps me to think outside of the box and to think deeper than the surface of things.”

Favorite things to do after class: Play basketball, sing/make music, talk to friends, play the guitar/piano and act.

Favorite song: New Flame by Chris Brown & Usher

Favorite TV show: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. “Will Smith is my favorite actor.”

Favorite movie: The Great Debaters. “It sends a great message.”

Ambition: “I don’t ever want to see my family struggle. That is why I work hard.”

What topics/things are you passionate about? “I am passionate about music, respect, loyalty, life and hard work.”

What inspires you? “The thought of truly acquiring success, not just materialistically, but mentally, inspires me. Also, I don’t want my mom to have to work another day of her life.”

What three things can’t you live without? My family, music and integrity.

What are you most looking forward to this semester? Meeting my PALee, the basketball season, the school talent show and Men of Honor.
