May 10, 2017—Lieder Elementary School fourth-grade student Angelina Barnes participated in The First Tee Champions Challenge golf tournament on March 25 in Humble. Barnes’ team won first place from among 223 schools, recording the lowest score in both heats. She aspires to pursue a career as a pediatric physician.

Favorite movie: Beauty and the Beast. “I love Belle because she’s so pretty and the Beast is funny!”
Ambition: “I want to be a kids’ doctor because I want to save kids life so they live a long, happy life!”
What topics/things are you passionate about? “I like doing independent/practice tests because they make me feel ready for the real tests!”
What inspires you? “I like when I go to the doctor and have a check-up. I like to hear all those big, medical words!”
What three things can’t you live without? Family, friends and my phone.
What are you most looking forward to this year? “Something new in reading, like a new strategy or skill!”
