CFISD Student of the Week: Breanna Aleska
April 2, 2018—Bang Elementary School fifth-grade student Breanna Aleska represented her school at the annual districtwide Elementary School Spelling Bee in February and is described by her teachers as a reliable and responsible person.

Accomplishments: Aleska has maintained straight A’s during the 2017-2018 school year and represented Bang Elementary School at the annual districtwide Elementary School Spelling Bee in February. Teachers describe Aleska as a reliable and responsible student who is everyone’s friend.
Favorite class: “Math is a form for me to express myself. I get excited when I get the answers right.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I love to spend time with my family just talking.”
Favorite song: “If I had to pick one, it would probably be All of Me by John Legend.”
Favorite website: Netflix. “I just love to watch TV on the couch while I eat ice cream.”
Favorite TV show: Hawaii 5-0. “It’s a great show for me to bond with my dad.”
Favorite movie: Hatchiko. “It’s just a very sentimental movie between a man and his dog. The man dies and the dog goes to the train station to wait for him like he does every day. He stays there forever until he eventually dies too. It makes me cry, but it is so good.”
Ambition: “I would like to be an agent for Homeland Security. I like action and helping people.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I recently went to Ecuador and saw a lot of dogs on the street and same with people. It makes me want to help as many people and animals as I can.”
What inspires you?: “My parents. “They think I don’t understand grown-up problems, but I do. I am just inspired because they continue to work hard, they are always kind and make time for me no matter what.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Family, food/water and maybe singing. But I am shy, so I only do it in front of my close friends.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I’m looking forward to doing the STAAR and getting prepared for middle school.”
