CFISD Student of the Week: Gabrielle Edwards

April 30, 2018—Ault Elementary School fifth-grade student Gabrielle Edwards excels in the classroom where she is an A/B student, but also in athletics where she competes in the National Junior Olympics in track and field.

School: Ault Elementary School

Age: 11

Grade: 5

 

Accomplishments: Edwards is an A/B student who participates in Ault’s student council. In addition, she also excels in track and field where is competes in the National Junior Olympics.

Favorite class: “Math because I enjoy doing things with numbers and also like the songs and fun activities.”

Favorites things to do after class: “Play with friends, read, sports, play on the phone and watch TV.”

Favorite TV show: “Gravity Falls because they go on adventures and I love going on adventures and exploring new things.”

Favorite movie: “The Incredibles because they help save the world and I love to help people that are in need.”

Ambition: “To score high on my STAAR test in elementary and middle school, score well on my SAT in high school and go to college.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about going great things and also treating others with respect and working on math and science at school.”

What inspires you?: “I am inspired when others are leaders and not following what everyone else is doing, and also when other people encourage others to do right.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “Family, food and water.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Finishing fifth grade strong and moving on to the next milestone, which is middle school.”
