Student of the Week - Gloria Granderson

Oct. 10, 2017—Frazier Elementary School fifth-grade student Gloria Granderson is a true leader and model student, excelling not only academically, but also in volunteering in the classroom.

Accomplishments: Granderson is regarded as an excellent student who excels not only academically but also with her peers as a good friend. She is always willing to help teachers and her fellow students. Granderson is routinely the first to volunteer for less-than-desirable tasks and can make them look fun so other students will join in.

Favorite things to do after class: She loves playing with her baby brother, doing her siblings’ hair and playing soccer with friends.

Favorite website: Prodigy. “She loves math and competing against her friends in a virtual world.”

Favorite TV show: America Ninja Warrior. “She loves competition and physical activity.”

Favorite movie: Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown.

Ambition: “Gloria would like to be a teacher or a hairdresser because she loves children and doing hair.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “She is very competitive. She loves soccer and competitive sports.”

What inspires you?: “Gloria enjoys being recognized for her hard work and good choices.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “Her baby brother, hair conditioner and her family.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Gloria is looking forward to her 5th-grade year and being a mentor to younger kids.”
