CFISD Student of the Week: Jasmyn Cook

May 3, 2021—Cypress Creek High School junior Jasmyn Cook served as a captain for the Silverados Dance Team during the 2020-2021 school year, was selected to perform a solo routine during the 2020 Dance ShowOffs and earned a Division 1 rating for her dance routine.

Grade: 11

Accomplishments: Cook maintains a high GPA while also serving the school community, as she was a junior captain for the Silverados Dance Team and a member of the Peer Assistance Leadership (PALS) organization.

Favorite class: “Child Development, because it really prepares you for the real world and the responsibilities that come with it.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Catching up on sleep due to daily early morning dance team practices and a full day of school.”

Favorite website/app: “TikTok and Instagram, because it’s interesting watching the videos and keeping up with what friends and classmates are doing.”

Favorite TV Show:Big Brother, because I love the drama.”

Ambition: “I aspire to attend college and medical school in the Houston area and become a dermatologist. I enjoy anything related to skin.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about dancing and about manifesting my own destiny in life.”

What inspires you?: “My parents inspire me and my own inner drive keeps me going.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, food and phone.”
