CFISD Student of the Week: Jesus Pesina

Oct. 29, 2018—M. Robinson Elementary School third-grade student Jesus Pesina is credited by his teachers as an engaged learner, as shown by him making a 92 on his Reading DPM and scoring a 3 on his writing DPM.

Age: 8

Grade: 3


Accomplishments: Pesina scored a 92 on his Reading DPM and a 3 on his Writing DPM. He then raised his writing to a level 4 following a writing workshop, and his teachers say he’s kept improving on a daily basis.

Favorite class: “Science because it is hands on and I love doing experiments.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Play Fortnite, soccer and read.”

Favorite song:Thunder by Imagine Dragons.”

Favorite because I like searching things about space.”

Favorite TV show:Skylanders Academy because it is based on a game.”

Favorite movie: “The Harry Potter movies because they have magic.”

Ambition: “My goal is to be one of the best soccer players in the world and to become an engineer.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I love soccer, video games and spending time with family.”

What inspires you?: “My dad inspires me because he introduced me to engineering and soccer.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “Video games, family and water.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Experiments and projects.”
