CFISD Student of the Week: Jonathan Idehai.

Jan. 28, 2019—Sheridan Elementary School fifth-grade student Jonathan Idehai excels in the classroom and was chosen to be part of the campus safety patrol team.

School: Sheridan Elementary School

Age: 11

Grade: 5

Accomplishments: Idehai earned all A’s on his first report card during the 2018-2019 school year. In addition, he’s also involved on campus as he was selected to be part of the Sheridan safety patrol team.

Favorite class: “My favorite class is math because I like to solve problems and there’s always something new to learn.”

Favorite things to do after class: “My favorite things to do include hanging out with my family, playing on the computer and solving math problems.”

Favorite song: Four Seasons by Vivaldi.

Favorite website: “I like Google Slides ( because I make my PowerPoint presentations for class.”

Favorite TV show: “I like the news because it informs me of the things happening around the world.”

Favorite movie: “My favorite movie is The Lion King because it shows how a lion faces his challenges.”

Ambition: “My goal is to become a math and science teacher one day. I really enjoy helping others learn about math and science.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am very passionate about math and science. I like how they encourage me to think harder and learn new ways to solve problems.”

Who inspires you?: “My math and science teacher, Mrs. (Laurie) Hendricks, inspires me.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “I cannot live without school, my family and my friends.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am really looking forward to helping more students in my class understand math and science better. Mrs. Hendricks allows me to go over the homework with my class every Friday and really help them to understand how to answer and solve the problems. I look forward to creating my presentations every week to present on Friday.”
