Dec. 2, 2019—Campbell Middle School sixth grade student Mia Rojano earned straight A’s during the first grading period and is hoping to continue to excel academically as she gets more involved on campus.
School: Campbell Middle School
Accomplishments: Rojano qualified for the honor during the first grading period. She also participates in athletics, as she’s just a few years removed from winning a volleyball championship.
Favorite class: “Reading because I enjoy reading.”
Favorite things to do after class: “Read, play with friends and make new things.”
Favorite song: “Señorita and Treat You Better, which are both by Shawn Mendes.”
Favorite website: “YouTube because it is entertaining and I can also learn new things.”
Favorite TV show: “Johnny Test because his dog and sisters are funny.”
Favorite movie: Toy Story 4. “I love all of the Toy Story movies.”
Ambition: “To go to Rice University with a scholarship or a full ride. I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Animal rights and stopping animal cruelty.”
What inspires you?: “Veterinarians because they help animals for their health and not just for the money.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Family, friends and books.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Getting a gold star for every grading period.”
