CFISD Student of the Week: Nicole Figueroa

May 21, 2018—Kirk Elementary School first-grader Nicole Figueroa is an excellent student who makes straight A’s in math, is a great reader and always follows the K.I.R.K matrix (Kind, Independent, Responsible, Keep Safe).

Accomplishments: Figueroa is regarded as a student who always demonstrates monthly character traits at school and follows the K.I.R.K. matrix (Kind, Independent, Responsible, Keep Safe). She makes straight A’s in math and also demonstrates excellence in reading.

Favorite class: “I love science because we do cool experiments and play fun science games.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Play with my cat and swimming.”

Favorite song: Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift

Favorite website: “It has lots of fun learning games.”

Favorite TV show: “I love Barbie because I like playing with Barbie dolls and it is cool to see them on TV.”

Favorite movie: “Coco because the movie cover is beautiful and it reminds me of when I had my colorful garden.”

Ambition: “I am working hard in school because I want to become a veterinarian when I grow up. I love animals and want to help them when they are sick.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Family, friendship, movies and animals.”

What inspires you?: “My mom and dad teach me to always do the right thing, even when it is hard to do so.”

What three things can’t you live without? “My family, pets and clothes.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Going on our Gulf Mysteries field trip.”
