CFISD Student of the Week: Samuel Bacon

Nov. 6, 2017—Salyards Middle School eighth-grade student Samuel Bacon is a member of the football ‘A’ team where he plays linebacker and H back, and is currently tied for the school record in the pole vault.

Grade: 8

Accomplishments: A former student council president at Swenke Elementary School, Bacon is a straight-A student who played linebacker and H back on the football ‘A’ team and also is currently tied for the school record at Salyards Middle School in the pole vault.

Favorite class: “Algebra because it is easy to learn and it is fun!”

Favorite things to do after class: “Fish and spend time with friends and family.”

Favorite song: A Country Boy Can Survive by Hank Williams Jr.

Favorite website: “I like this site because you can get lures from it.”

Favorite TV show: The Journey. “People are giving back to one another.”

Favorite move: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. “Jim Carrey is my favorite actor and role model.”

Ambition: “Orthopedic sales representative or sports medicine because I have lots of experience in this field.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Religion, beliefs and family.”

What inspires you?: “Staying positive and staying away from negativity.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “Family, friends and school.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Meeting new people and learning new things.”
