Oct. 5, 2020—Labay Middle School eighth grade student Viviana Gonzalez is a well-rounded student who serves on the campus Choir Leadership Council and regularly volunteers at her church’s Vacation Bible School and summer youth group events.

Accomplishments: Gonzalez is a past Name That Book and Spelling Bee participant at Labay, an active member in the school’s Choir Leadership Council and currently balances her activities with CFISD Connect learning while assisting her younger brother with his learning as well.
Favorite class: “My favorite classes are Choir because I have fun and love to sing, and Food & Fabrics because I’m looking forward to learning how to cook.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I enjoy training my new puppy, Cliff.”
Favorite song: “I have too many favorite songs list, but Ariana Grande is among my favorite artists and I like listening to K-pop.”
Favorite website: “YouTube, because I enjoy watching music videos and funny videos, and also Pinterest because I like to ‘pin’ all of my favorite things that inspire me.”
Favorite TV show: “Once Upon a Time. My mom and I enjoy watching it together.”
Favorite movie: “Serendipity. It’s an old movie but one of my favorites.”
Ambition: “I want to attend law school after college and hope to one day be a district attorney.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Being a hard worker at whatever I’m focused on. Academics are very important to me.”
What inspires you?: “Making my parents proud.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Mexican food, my tablet and my family.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Finishing eighth grade and having new adventures in high school next year.”
