Cy-Fair High School senior Peyton Lewis led an offensive surge by the Bobcats in a sweep over Cypress Woods in the regional quarterfinals. They advanced to face Clear Springs in the regional semifinals at the University of Houston’s Schroeder Park, with the series beginning at 7 p.m. on May 24.
May 21, 2018—The Cy-Fair and Cypress Ranch high school baseball teams advanced past the regional quarterfinal round of the Class 6A postseason and moved to the regional semifinals.
Cy-Fair swept district foe Cypress Woods High School in a best-of-three series by the scores of 12-0 and 12-1. The Bobcats advance to face Clear Springs in a regional semifinal series with all games at the University of Houston’s Schroeder Park (3100 Cullen Blvd.):
Cypress Ranch High School junior JJ Goss struck out seven batters May 19 in a win over Katy Tompkins. Cypress Ranch beat Katy Tompkins in a best-of-three series, sweeping the round by the scores of 9-4 and 7-0. The Mustangs advance to face Atascocita in the regional semifinals, playing the series at the Crosby ISD Baseball and Softball Complex (14515 FM 2100):
Tickets for all playoff games will be sold at the gate for $5 each (adults and students).
Cypress Woods were District 17-6A’s fourth seed and the Wildcats finished their season as area round champions and regional quarterfinalists.
