Cy Falls, Cy Springs boys’ basketball teams continue in postseason

Cypress Falls High School senior Trajan Wesley and the Eagles advance in the postseason and will face Fort Bend Hightower in the area round at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Coleman Coliseum.

Feb. 21, 2018—Two boys’ basketball teams won their Region III-6A bi-district playoff games to advance to the area round this week, while two other teams ended their respective seasons.

Cypress Falls High School defeated Houston Bellaire, 70-54, on Feb. 20 at Houston ISD Delmar Fieldhouse. The Eagles advance to face Fort Bend Hightower at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Coleman Coliseum (1050 Dairy Ashford Road).

Cypress Springs High School beat Houston Westside, 55-52, on Feb. 20 at Cypress Ranch High School. The Panthers advance to the area round to face Katy Tompkins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at Cinco Ranch High School (23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd.) in Katy.

Tickets for both games will be sold at the gate for $5 apiece (students and adults).

Cypress Creek High School were defeated by Houston Lamar, 58-56, on Feb. 20 at Delmar Fieldhouse. The Cougars end their season as District 17-6A co-runners-up and bi-district finalists.

Cypress Woods High School ended its season with an 86-62 loss to Houston Sam Houston on Feb. 19 at Cypress Falls. The Wildcats were District 17-6A’s fourth seed and bi-district finalists.
