Cy Ranch HS baseball trio lands on THSBCA All-State Teams

June 25, 2018—Three Cypress Ranch High School baseball standouts were named to the 2018 Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Teams.

Recent Cypress Ranch graduate Colton Cowser was named as a first-team outfielder. The Mustangs picked up a second first-team pick in catcher Jared Alvarez-Lopez, who just completed his junior year.

Pitcher J.J. Goss, who also completed his junior year, was named as a second-team selection.

The trio helped Cypress Ranch reach the UIL Class 6A Baseball State Tournament in June where the Mustangs lost in the semifinals to San Antonio Reagan. The berth was the program’s third in seven years, with Cypress Ranch knocking off Cy-Fair High School in an all-CFISD regional final best-of-three series to get to state.
