Dec. 6, 2018—KUBE Channel 57 sports director Todd Freed and Allegiance Bank representative Michelle Droubi visited Cypress Creek High School on Dec. 5 to award the football team with the Allegiance Bank Team of the Week plaque.

Cypress Creek is 8-5 this season and playing in the Class 6A Division II Region III championship on Saturday, Dec. 8. The Cougars began the year with an 0-4 start, but have bounced back, losing just once since Sept. 29 as they’ve made their way to their upcoming game against Beaumont West Brook.

Coming off of a 43-14 victory against Humble Summer Creek at Rice Stadium in the regional semifinals, Cypress Creek Head Football Coach Greg McCaig said he and his Cougars are ready for their upcoming challenge.

“We have been on a roll,” McCaig said, “We feel we match up well with [West Brook], and we have a great plan for the weekend.”

Cypress Creek and Beaumont West Brook are set to begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday at NRG Stadium.
