Cypress Ranch football team advances to regional final

Nov. 29, 2014The Cypress Ranch High School football team won its Division I Region III-6A semifinal playoff game over Galena Park North Shore, 31-27, on Friday at the University of Houston’s TDECU Stadium.

The Mustangs will advance to face Dickinson in the Region III-6A final on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. at TDECU Stadium (3847 Holman Street).

Dickinson advanced to the regional final by defeating Cy-Fair High School, 21-19, on Saturday at Rice Stadium. The Bobcats finish the season as fourth-place finishers in District 17-6A and Region III-6A semifinalists.

In the Division II bracket, Cypress Woods High School closed out its season with a 63-47 loss to Manvel on Friday at Rice Stadium. The Wildcats complete the year as the third-place finishers in District 17-6A and Region III-6A semifinalists.
