May 7, 2019—The Cypress Ranch High School softball team advanced past the area round of the Class 6A playoffs and moves on to the Region II quarterfinals this week, while Bridgeland, Cy-Fair and Cypress Creek high schools concluded their season and finished as area finalists.
Cypress Ranch High School defeated Conroe The Woodlands in a best-of-three series by the scores of 5-0 and 3-0. The Mustangs advance to face Conroe Oak Ridge at 3 p.m. on May 10 at Conroe Grand Oaks High School (4800 Riley Fuzzel Road) in Spring.
Tickets will be sold at the gate for $5 (adults and students).
Bridgeland High School lost a best-of-three series to Spring High School by the scores of 10-7, 6-11 and 6-5. The Bears were District 14-6A’s third seed and finished as area round finalists.
Cypress Creek High School was defeated by Fort Bend Ridge Point, 7-6. The Cougars were District 17-6A’s second seed and finished as area round finalists.
Cy-Fair High School lost to a best-of-three series to Katy High School by the scores of 12-2 and 13-3. The Bobcats were District 17-6A’s third seed and finished as area round finalists.
