May 22, 2017—Members of CFISD’s instructional technology department surprised a Cypress Springs High School student at his school last month with the announcement that his logo design was chosen to represent the 2018 Technology Festival.

Instructional technology specialists Amy Kainer and Peggy Leonhardt visited Cypress Springs on May 17 to make the presentation in Diana Lookabaugh’s classroom.

Freshman Albert Servin’s logo was selected to brand the CFISD Technology Festival, scheduled for April 12, 2018 at the Berry Center. The event showcases digital learning and 21st century technology skills from CFISD students in kindergarten through grade 12.

The winning design will be used on all flyers, announcements and online and print media.

“The instructional technology team is proud to announce Albert Servin the winner of the 2018 Technology Festival logo contest,” said Amy Kainer, CFISD instructional technology specialist. “Albert’s clean design incorporated the theme, R3: Rethink, Recreate, Redesign and included a fade with a bold visually appealing effect. Thank you, Albert, for sharing your graphic design talents with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD!”
