“I am so proud of all our students from the CFISD middle schools who not only won their campus bees but made a grand showing at our district Spelling Bee on Tuesday night, particularly our winner, Tiffany Lam, from Dean, and our runner-up, Isaac Howard, from Goodson,” Sarah Price, CFISD secondary English technology curriculum coach. “Both of these students worked tirelessly, never giving up on even the hardest words. Our district is very honored to have such excellent students representing us at the Houston Public Media Spelling Bee in April.”

Nearly 60 spellers will qualify for the spelling bee from across the greater Houston area. The top two spellers will qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C., May 27-June 1.
